After Vishwas Rao (Shahid Kapoor) is raised up by his Mother (Padmini Kolhapure), who apparently dreams for him to become a Police Inspector. However, he has different plans in mind. Vishwas wants to become a film hero.
Vishwas's mother comes to know that he is not an inspector while he is shooting for the film. She faints and is admitted to the hospital, where the doctor tells him that she needs to be operated on. He agrees to work for Gundappa for the agreement of getting money for his mother's operation. While escaping after the job he is caught by police and accidentally shoots the police officer has been admitted to a hospital from a gunshot wound. He tries to save her and discovers that she was caught in the crossfire of a gang led by Gundappa. Vishwas then receives word from his commissioner that he must use an explosive watch device while taking on Gundappa's gang with help from real police teams. Along the way, he is forced to deactivate a bomb with Kajal. Vishwas deactivates the bomb before the time runs out, defeating Gundappa. He later tells everyone that he will become a police officer as they are real life heroes. He did all the filmy actions as a fake police officer now he wanted to be a real police man and do his duty for his country and his mothers dreams finally fulfilled.
